Sandcast lead sheet has been used in building for centuries. It still has an important and prominent part to play today, as one of the most cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing materials for roof covering.
Unlike milled lead, sandcast lead sheet is produced to exact sheet sizes requirements, thereby reducing waste. The CEL Group also offers an additional service; removing existing sheeting, melting and recasting, making further savings for the client and contractor.
Modern technology also has its part to play in this traditional craft, as the lead and metals are blended in a digitalised furnace which prevents the burning off of chemicals.
Lead sheets are available in standard codes 6, 7 and 8, but other codes can be ordered.
