The specialist skills of The CEL Group's master craftsmen are now permanently on display in dozens of completed slating and tiling restoration and roofing projects the length and breadth of the UK.

Slates and tiles are traditional materials that have been used in the building industry for centuries. Dating back to Tudor times and beyond, they are materials that can be found on a wide variety of stately homes and heritage and civic buildings.

The CEL Group's craftsmen are used to working with every type of slate, including Welsh slate, Westmoreland slate and Collyweston slate and both Plain and Peg tiles.

Although generally used on prestigious restoration projects, advances in installation methods have made the material even more versatile. Tiles and slates can now be put on shallower and deeper pitches and the skills of The CEL Group's craftsmen allow them to coax a flat product around curved surfaces, such as cupolas.
