Cranmer's Tower, Lambeth Palace

The lead covered roof to Cranmer's Tower needed replacing due to the inevitable failure of the existing material.

Project Overview

Client: Church Commissioner of England

Location: Lambeth Palace Road, London

Architect: Richard Griffiths Architect, London

The Tudor brickwork on Cranmer's Tower, together with stone quoins and window surrounds, were also replaced by CEL.

Along with the re-pointing of brick and stone joints, stainless steel anchors were needed to stabilise the structure. CEL’s services were also commissioned to rebuild parts of the palace boundary wall.
